Welcome to Black Pearl Medical,
where your journey to whole-person wellness begins.

Founded and led by Dr. Juliet Gatobu, our practice stands apart as a model of truly integrated, patient-centered care.
Dr. Gatobu is a dual-board-certified Doctor of Nursing Practice in Psychiatric Mental Health (PMHNP-BC) and Family Medicine (FNP-C), with advanced certification as a Wound Care Specialist (CWS). This rare combination of expertise allows her to uniquely address the interconnected nature of your health – treating not just symptoms, but the whole person.
Unlike traditional clinics where care is fragmented across multiple specialists, Black Pearl Medical offers a seamless, holistic approach. Under one roof, you have coordinated access to:
Compassionate, affirming care for anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, and LGBTQ+ health
Specialized treatment for diabetic, venous, arterial, and pressure ulcers, including regenerative therapies
Medically-supervised weight management, peptide therapy, IV wellness treatments, and aesthetic enhancements
Here, you are more than a chart or a diagnosis. You are a person with unique goals, challenges, and strengths. Dr. Gatobu listens deeply, partners with you transparently, and creates personalized treatment plans that respect your autonomy and dignity.
At Black Pearl Medical, we don’t just treat conditions – we empower people.
Welcome to a new standard of care, where your mind, body, and well-being are connected—and so is your treatment.
The Vision Behind Black Pearl Medical
Dr. Gatobu founded Black Pearl Medical out of a profound recognition: the healthcare system too often treats patients as a collection of separate symptoms, referred from specialist to specialist with little coordination. She witnessed firsthand how this fragmented approach led to delayed healing, conflicting treatments, and patient frustration.
Her vision was clear: create a practice where mental, physical, and aesthetic wellness are seamlessly connected under one roof. At Black Pearl Medical, there are no silos. Whether a patient is managing anxiety while healing a diabetic foot ulcer, or seeking weight loss support alongside depression treatment, Dr. Gatobu coordinates their entire care plan. This eliminates conflicting advice, redundant tests, and the overwhelming burden of navigating multiple providers.
