Insurance, Fees, and Financial Wellness
Black Pearl Medical is a self-pay clinic. We do not bill commercial insurance plans directly through our practice.
However, patients who wish to use commercial insurance may do so by scheduling care through Headway (providers/juliet-gatobu), our trusted insurance partner platform, where Dr. Juliet Gatobu is an in-network provider.
Our Fee Structure
The following fees apply to self-pay services provided directly by Black Pearl Medical. We provide high-quality, integrated care that combines psychiatry, primary care, and wellness. For our private-pay patients or those using out-of-network benefits, our standard rates for psychiatric services are:
- Initial Comprehensive Evaluation (60-90 minutes): $300
- Standard Follow-up Session: $150
- Initial Consultation: We offer a free 15-minute phone consultation to ensure we are the right fit for your needs before you commit to a full session.
Insurance Options
Using Commercial Insurance (via Headway)
Black Pearl Medical operates as a self-pay practice. For patients who prefer to use commercial insurance, Dr. Juliet Gatobu is available in-network through Headway, a secure third-party platform that handles insurance billing separately from Black Pearl Medical.
- Insurance billing is handled directly by Headway
- Appointments, claims, and co-pays are managed in the Headway system
- Black Pearl Medical does not submit insurance claims
Self-Pay (Black Pearl Medical)
Patients who choose to receive care directly through Black Pearl Medical do so on a self-pay basis on JaneApp, allowing for transparent pricing, flexible care, and privacy.
